Every day, millions of women and children in Pakistan walk for hours under the scorching sun to collect water. But the water they find is far from safe, often contaminated with bacteria, shared with animals, and filled with disease. Drinking this water exposes them to deadly illnesses like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery.
💧 Over 80% of Pakistan’s population faces severe water scarcity for at least one month each year.
💧 Pakistan ranks among the top three most water-stressed countries in the world.
💧 Unsafe drinking water contributes to nearly 100 million cases of diarrheal diseases annually, leading to 2.5 million deaths.
No water means no future. Without clean water, children drop out of school, families lose their livelihoods, and entire communities remain trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease. This isn’t just a crisis, it’s an emergency.
We must act now to bring clean, safe water to those in need. Let me know if you need any refinements!
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP
Najam Relief, in partnership with MATW Project, is working tirelessly to provide clean water to communities in Pakistan. Since 2016, we have installed over 800 solar-powered water stations, providing clean drinking water to 12 million people daily.
✅ 500 stations in Tharparkar, a region where water scarcity is severe.
✅ 150 stations in Punjab, improving access to safe drinking water.
✅ 300 stations in Sindh, addressing critical water shortages.
✅ 50 stations in other provinces, including solar-powered pumps for sustainable water solutions.
These efforts transform lives, reduce waterborne diseases, and ensure communities have reliable access to safe drinking water.
Will you help us bring clean water to those who need it most?
